This class opens for enrollment on 12/2/24 at 9:00 am.
Please be aware that some driving appointments are during Christmas break or on weekends. During the registration process, you will be required to pick a slot with your student's driving appointments. Be sure to take note of which school the driving appointments start and end at, what dates and times of the appointments in each slot, and make sure your student is available for each appointment. Driving appointments WILL NOT be changed to accommodate your student.
The MANDATORY ORIENTATION is on December 17th at 5:30pm at the South Middle School Cafeteria, 229 W. Greenhurst Rd., Nampa.
$50 cash will be due at orientation. No checks or credit cards will be accepted at orientation.
IMPORTANT: HAVE YOU TAKEN YOUR STUDENT TO THE DMV YET? IF NOT, YOU CANNOT SIGN UP FOR THIS CLASS. YOU MUST HAVE A VALID PERMIT NUMBER TO REGISTER. THE PERMIT NUMBER IS ON THE RECEIPT FROM THE DMV. IF YOU REGISTER WITHOUT A VALID PERMIT NUMBER, YOUR STUDENT WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM THIS CLASS.
If you are using the Fast Forward/Advanced Opportunities Funding - Use COUPON CODE: Funding. No payment will be due during the registration process if you enter the word Funding in the coupon code field.
DO NOT USE A CREDIT CARD! NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.
School transfer busses are available to use for driver's ed. Feel free to sign up your student for any slot in any school, you'll just have to get the student to the appointments at the school that you have chosen.
This Nampa School District Driver's Education course will NOT be held in a classroom. The online course will open after orientation has taken place. The class will close at 4:00 pm on 1/28/2024. While open, the online course will be available to the students 24 hours per day, seven days a week. (There will be no Zoom calls or meetings with a teacher during this course.)
BEFORE YOU SIGN UP FOR DRIVER EDUCATION, PLEASE CHECK ATHLETIC SCHEDULES, MUSIC SCHEDULES, AND ANY OTHER ACTIVITIES THAT MAY CONFLICT WITH THE DRIVER EDUCATION DRIVING SCHEDULE. YOUR STUDENT MUST MAKE ALL DRIVING APPOINTMENTS TO PASS THE CLASS.
Please note: We are only able to accept Fast Forward funds from students that attend a school within the Nampa School District for this course. The funding CANNOT be used for our private online course or if your student is "Out of District".
5 THINGS YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE WITH YOU TO THE DMV TO APPLY FOR YOUR PERMIT:
- Verification of Compliance from attending school (pick up from school secretary or district office during summer session)
- Original Birth Certificate
- Photo Identification (i.e. activity card, year book picture, passport)
- Social Security Number (card not required)
- Birth Parent must show photo ID (driver’s license). If last name is different than the student, documentation will be needed to explain the difference, i.e. divorce decree, marriage license, adoption papers
